Take part in the Margeride Trail 2025 - 43 km “Sobre los pas de la Bèstia” and enjoy a unique experience running through the emblematic landscapes of Margeride. Enjoy a demanding and picturesque route, ideal for trail lovers, while discovering the natural and cultural wealth of Lozère. An unforgettable sports getaway combining performance, discovery and pleasure in a warm and festive atmosphere. “🏁 Departure from Le Malzieu-Ville, a charming medieval city nicknamed the “Pearl of Margeride”.
The first kilometers follow the Truyère on wooded trails that plunge directly into the wild environment of the massif.
🌲 5-10 km: gradual climbs through beech forests and mountain pastures, before crossing the hamlet of Lajo.
🏞️ km 10-20: you reach the altitude plateaus, with long rolling sections and splendid panoramas of the Aubrac mountains on the horizon.
🏰 20-30 km: pass through the ruins of Apcher and its old towers that dominate the valley, before a technical descent to the forest.
🌄 km 30-40: alternating single tracks and forest paths, final ascent to the highest point of the course at nearly 1300m.
🎉 Last kilometers: winding descent through the pine trees, back to the ramparts of Malzieu for a spectacular finish in the heart of the village.
